Do you know your strengths and weaknesses?

Do you know what you’re good at?

Have you figured out what skill or field complements your personality?

If your answer is ‘No’ to any one of the above questions, then you might find this helpful.

In order to find out what skills you possess, think about your childhood and try to remember and answer this:

  • What activities made you happy?
  • What games were you good at?
  • In those games or activities you loved, what exactly did you do better than others?

For example, in my childhood:

  • I used to love solving puzzles, all kinds of puzzles: Problem-solving
  • My handwriting was better than others and I used to love to fill “writing series” books: Love of typography
  • I used to love writing on a clean piece of paper and if I committed any mistake, I used to tear down the whole page and rewrite everything: Perfectionism

See how I translated those activities into strengths and weaknesses?

I can go on and on but you get the idea.

If you don’t remember anything from your childhood, think of whatever you can recall from the earliest time in your life and apply the same exercise to that.

In this way, you’ll not only know yourself better but you’ll also be in a better position to choose the career that suits your strengths.
